The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement is a mission-driven initiative dedicated to transforming the way people experience and engage with pet adoption. Rooted in the belief that every animal deserves a loving home, the movement is focused on elevating the adoption experience—making it more accessible, emotionally meaningful, and deeply connected to community. Through education, strategic collaboration, and innovative programming, the organization works to remove barriers that prevent animals from being adopted, while empowering shelters, rescues, and advocates to create stronger, more impactful pathways to adoption.
Saving Hope Animal Rescue is an inspiring, foster-based organization dedicated to saving animals in need and giving them the love and second chances they deserve. Since their founding, they have rescued over 15,000 animals, making a tremendous impact in addressing Texas’s heartbreaking overpopulation crisis. Saving Hope Animal Rescue is not only a beacon of hope for animals but also a driving force in educating the community and creating a future where every animal has a chance to thrive.
Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue (RMHRR) is a Colorado-based, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming domestic rabbits in need. With a team of passionate volunteers bringing together decades of hands-on rabbit care experience, RMHRR provides life-saving support to abandoned, neglected, and at-risk rabbits across the state.
Las Vegas K9 Crew Rescue is a powerful new force in the Las Vegas Valley, built on a mission rooted in compassion, action, and second chances. Dedicated to saving, protecting, and rebuilding the lives of abandoned, abused, and at-risk dogs, their work goes far beyond rescue—they are committed to restoring trust and giving every dog the opportunity to experience love and security again.
Cowtown Friends of Fort Worth Animal Care & Control is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the life-saving efforts of Fort Worth Animal Care & Control (FWACC). Established in 2020 by a group of dedicated volunteers, Cowtown Friends works tirelessly to bridge the gap between the city’s resources and the additional needs of homeless animals in Fort Worth.
The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter dedicated to saving and enriching the lives of pets and their families. Founded in 1945, they care for approximately 3,000 dogs and cats annually, rescuing animals from local euthanasia lists and providing second chances through transport and adoption programs.
Canine Soulmates Rescue is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization based in the Grapevine-Keller-Southlake area of Texas, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned and neglected dogs. With a foster-based network across the DFW metroplex, they provide essential veterinary care and temporary homes while finding loving forever families. Specializing in rescuing stray and shelter dogs, they also support individuals in rehoming pets, ensuring every dog has a chance at a brighter future.
Toast House Feline Foster Foundation exists to protect and improve the lives of cats by offering foster care, medical assistance, and adoption services in areas where cats are often overlooked. By partnering with the community to promote spay and neuter efforts and responsible pet ownership, the Foundation aims to create lasting, humane solutions to feline overpopulation.
Cody’s Friends Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue dedicated to saving homeless, neglected, and abused dogs, from Poodles to Pit Bulls. They focus on rescuing dogs in urgent need and finding them loving, forever homes. Cody’s Friends Rescue is committed to advocating for shelter animals, giving them a second chance, and creating brighter futures for dogs and their families.
When Bowe’s Buddies was founded by Beth Felker, it was born out of a critical need in the Allen, Texas community. Allen Animal Services had no foster program in place, leaving countless animals without the extra support they needed to find loving homes. Beth stepped up to fill that gap, creating Bowe’s Buddies—a brand-new 501(c)(3) named in honor of her beloved cat, Bowe—to provide the foster program and resources the shelter desperately needed.
